Mescla creates unique composite mixes, utilizing post-consumer and production waste like cork dust, recycled plastic, and saw dust sourced from East London woodworking workshops. Repurposing these materials that would otherwise contribute to landfill, gives the designs their bold look and surprising textures. Due to the nature of working with mixed ingredients, such as varying sizes and types of shredded plastic, each item is unique and may exhibit small imperfections. These imperfections, whether they are small air bubbles or slight variations in colour shades, are considered part of the beauty of using circular materials and contribute to the one-of-a-kind nature the product.
